The Short Version

Prism is built on a zero-cloud architecture. Your searches, documents, notes, and conversations never leave your machine. We cannot see what you search for or what results you get.

Data Collection

Prism does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. Specifically:

• Search queries are processed entirely on your local machine
• Indexed documents remain in your local Qdrant vector database
• LLM conversations are routed only to locally-running models (LM Studio, Ollama)
• Screenshot OCR is performed locally — images are never uploaded
• n8n workflow triggers connect only to your local n8n instance
• Clipboard history is stored locally and never transmitted

Network Connections

Prism connects only to services running on your local network:

• Your Qdrant instance for vector search
• Your BookStack/wiki instance for document search
• Your LM Studio or Ollama instance for LLM chat
• Your n8n instance for workflow automation
• Web search (if enabled by you) uses your configured search provider

You control every connection. Nothing is preconfigured to reach external services.

Analytics & Telemetry

Prism contains zero telemetry, zero analytics, and zero tracking. The application does not phone home, check for updates automatically, or transmit usage data of any kind.

This website (prismapp.xyz) may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand page traffic. No personal data or cookies are used.

Updates

Prism does not auto-update. You download new versions at your discretion from this website or GitHub.
